My friend can't log into her Minecraft account because its saying "That user is invalid". She tried reinstalling it and restarting her game but its not working.

How can she fix it?

Let her login onto Mojang website first, using email of the registration. If THIS works, there is nothing really bad with that account. If that does not work, use some steps to retrieve passwords & safety questions etc to get back the account.

If that works and she used SAME credentials in ORIGINAL Mojang launcher (from Minecraft website ) but the game still does not let her in - probably her IP got blocked up for trying too many times , so no login will be succesfull from that IP for some time. Then she has to try it from other IP or wait at least 24 hours to unblock it. Mojang servers have some security thingies like this to defend against people trying to steal passwords.

How do you fix an invalid username on Minecraft?

Validating Session
  • Close the Minecraft application.
  • Log off of your account from your Minecraft launcher.
  • You will then be asked to type in your email and password again, please do.
  • Once logged back in, you can then start your game and join the server!

    If she cannot log on either she is : altogether using the wrong info,is misspelling something,or is playing on a cracked version of minecraft.Another possiblity is that someone hacked her profile. (Probbably playing on a cracked version)
