I recently received an N64 transfer pak. When I looked at the label it was orange, so I looked it up and found that it is a Japanese transfer pak. I am planning on buying an N64 and was wondering whether a Japanese transfer pak would work on a PAL system.

What does N64 Transfer Pak do?

The Transfer pak is an accessory that allows for downloading of Game Boy game data into an N64 game via the Controller for games designed for this feature. The N64 Transfer Pak plugs right into the Controller Pak slot of the N64's controller.

Do you need a Transfer Pak to play Pokémon Stadium?

It also allows trading Pok\xe9mon (two Transfer Paks required) and allows the playing of Game Boy Pok\xe9mon games on a TV using the Game Boy Tower feature. Data for Pok\xe9mon Crystal is contained in Pok\xe9mon Stadium 2, but can only be unlocked when connecting a Pok\xe9mon Crystal cartridge via the Transfer Pak.

How do I use my N64 Transfer pack?

The Expansion Pak is required for 4 player multiplayer. Enables two hi-res modes, which increases resolution to 640\xd7480 however performance suffers greatly as a result. The Expansion Pak is required for 3 and 4 player multiplayer.
