Can cooking fires and camp fires be put out in Metro: Last Light Redux? In one DLC level (Pavel I think) they can be put out, but can it be done in the vanilla story?

\u201cMake campfire soup. You're going to want standing water in there.\u201d Pour the first bucket of water on slowly, ensuring you douse all parts of the fire while holding your face back from the steam. If you don't have water, pouring sand or dirt on the fire will also work.
