Using AXII when mounted

I noticed you can only use AXII sign when mounted and only on the horse. Why? Does it reduce fear level or something?

How do I equip AXII in Witcher 3?

To use the Axii sign, right-click on the desired target.

Endurance is used whenever the sign is cast, if the overall level is too low, Geralt will not be able to cast the sign.

What does casting AXII on Roach do?

What does it do? Calms the horse down should its fear level rise (when attacking enemies or monstes on horseback). If the "fear meter" fills up you will be thrown off.

How do you calm your horse in Witcher 3?

This is simply the first upgrade of the Axii skill in the Signs category. You need to put between one or three points into this skill, depending on how hard the individual check in the dialogue is. You also need to put the skill into a slot on the right side of that screen, like with all the other skills.
