Was Simcity (2013) fixed?

There was a lot of bad reviews of Simcity, mostly because always-online gaming, small cities... The list is very long.

I never purchased this game because of all the issues that this game haves, and I want to know if it was fixed by EA or someone else.

Edit: For being "fixed", I mean:

Bigger cities
Offline playing
Save and load before disasters

In general the classic features that were removed.

Did they ever fix SimCity?

The plans for improving the game were scrapped, meaning that aspects such as city sizes and improved multiplayer features would not be worked on. In the end, SimCity was never able to achieve the vision EA planned for it.

One of the major criticisms of SimCity was its limitation on city size, which was much smaller than in previous SimCity titles. Quigley told Game Informer that before launch, Maxis had big ideas for those land plots.

Is SimCity still good?

I have owned SimCity 2013 ever sense it was released and I just wanted to try something different. So, is SimCity 4 still a recommended game and if not what would you recommend? any game that has survived 11 years and still has community support let alone sold and still ranks HIGH on charts .. Yes.
