What's this thing on my scattergun? - Two Persons Holding Two Red Heart Shaped Balloons

Here is a screenshot of my Scout loadout:

enter image description here

Inside the red circle there's a very small icon that appears to be some sort of counter. I have a 1080p screen and it's so small that I can't read the text. What is it?

Best Answer

The icon you're asking about is used on skins from Gun Mettle to indicate that the weapon is Strange. As of the August 27, 2015 patch, the icon has now been added to all Strange items in the backpack view.

As you can see here, it also appears on mine:

Scout loadout (icons visible)

Contrary to Jeeva's comment (which has since been deleted), the icon does not indicate that the weapon has a Strange part. None of the weapons I have equipped for the Scout have a Strange Part added to them.

The icon also appears to be static; the counter shown on it won't actually update in relation to the current stats on it and will remain at 000000.

What is the Scattergun tf2?

The Scattergun is the default primary weapon for the Scout. It is a short, double-barreled lever-action shotgun with a wooden handle and foregrip.

What type of gun is the Scattergun?

A shotgun (also known as a scattergun, or historically as a fowling piece) is a long-barreled firearm designed to shoot a straight-walled cartridge known as a shotshell, which usually discharges numerous small pellet-like spherical sub-projectiles called shot, or sometimes a single solid projectile called a slug.

How many pellets does the Scattergun have?

The stock Scattergun has a full clip of six shots, dealing strong damage at close range. Damage falls off quickly, but is still powerful enough to finish off a weak enemy at medium range. Each shot delivers 10 pellets, making it extremely strong at close range.

Is the Scattergun good?

The Scattergun is a fun weapon to wield in Team Fortress 2 that's surprisingly effective in the right hands. Thanks to its wide cone of fire, it's absolutely brutal at close range but loses effect the farther a player is from a target. As a result, it favors aggressive gameplay and ambush tactics.
