Why can't you just pick up your balls?
In Pokemon lore, was it ever explained why a PokeBall is just lost when you miss or a Pokemon breaks free?
Basically, why can't you just pick up your failed balls off the ground and reuse them?
I guess we are looking for an explanation given in the game themselves, but I would say its still good if it comes from the anime or movies, as long as it is canon

Basically, why can't you just pick up your failed balls off the ground and reuse them? Assuming you hit the Pokemon and the Pokemon 'broke out' of the ball, it's likely that the Ball literally "breaks" when they do so.
