Why does Minecraft say that 'mob:ghast:fireball' does not exist? - Brown Deer

I built a nether portal normally, but the game crashed when I started it. It said:

File minecraft:sounds/mob/ghast/fireball.ogg does not exist

What does that mean? Please help me fix it.

Probably a bug, if it can get to the update/login menu, just re download your version of minecraft. otherwise go to explorer and in the bar type '%appdata%', go to the minecraft file and delete everything. Then run your minecraft.exe and it'll redownload your version of minecraft.

  • What are Ghasts afraid of?

To kill a ghast you can either shoot it with your bow or deflect its fireball back towards the ghast. To do this you can either shoot it with your bow or deflect the fireball when it gets close to you. You don't have to hit the fireball with a sword, any item will do.

Can you still hit fireballs back at ghast?

1 Answer. Show activity on this post. Fire a fireball by putting a fire charge in a dispenser and activate it with redstone. Then teleport it (like /tp @e[type=fireball,r=5] 5 10 5 ) to where you want.
