Is Rust not family shareable?

From February 17th 2021, Steam family sharing for Rust is disabled for the foreseeable future. If you wish to continue playing you must purchase a copy of Rust from the Steam store, no exceptions can or will be made.

Is your Rust character always the same?

Including pube colour. In an update earlier this month, Facepunch made it so every Rust player would have a race and face permanently assigned to them. The new look is locked to your Steam ID. That means that every character you create will share exactly the same randomised look.

Is it possible to change your Rust character?

There is only one way to change characters in Rust: switch to a different Steam account. When players launch the game for the first time, a character is randomly generated and tied to their Steam ID. No amount of uninstalling and reinstalling or changing screen names will cause the character to change.
