Are Minecraft mods for 1.8.1 compatible with Minecraft Forge 1.8?

I have Minecraft Forge 1.8, and I was wondering if 1.8.1 mods will work with Forge 1.8.
Thanks!
Best Answer
No. They are different versions, and, as a result, you will not be able to. This is because when you use Forge 1.8, you are in fact using a modded version of 1.8. As a result, a 1.8.1 is incompatible, because it is designed to run with a different version of MineCraft.

Does forge version have to match Minecraft version?
Minecraft forge only works with the java version of minecraft, not the windows 10 version of minecraft. Unfortunately, if you want to use mods, you'll have to get the java edition. Here's a link that explains all the different versions. Again, only the top one (Java Edition) will work with minecraft forge mods.Do all mods work with Forge?
Minecraft by default does not run mods so you need to use a mod loader, Forge. There are multiple different ways you can add mods whether you are just installing Forge and the mods manually to Minecraft or if you are using a launcher such as the Twitch Desktop App.What version of Minecraft works with Forge?
Minecraft Forge only works for the Java Edition, so if you're not living your best modding life on the original PC version, then there's plenty of fun to be had exploring Minecraft PE seeds to keep your busy for hours. Can forge use old mods?
Older mods are not compatible with newer versions of Forge. They're only able to be ran with the version of the game they were made for. This is because the code the mod uses only fits with the code of that exact Minecraft version. How To Install Forge Mods In Minecraft 1.8.9 (Install Other Mods With 1.8.9 Optifine!!)
