Dark Souls 3 NPC'S summons

So, I heard/read about two summon signs in front of Vordt of the Boreal Valley. I already killed the boss, but, how do they appear? I´m very confused with how to summon or find Lion Knight Albert and Master Sword. I read all you need to do is kill the dude with the katana that is just left to Firelink Shrine – I did that – but neither of them were there. Am I missing something? I don't care to fight with the boss, I just want to know what I did wrong since I´m a completionist.

Can you summon for Yhorm?

There is no summons for Yhorm although it is worth noting if the player has completed his quest steps up to the battle Siegward of the Knights of Catarina will appear behind you during the boss cutscene (with no summon) and make the battle very easy due to him wielding a Storm Ruler.

Is there a summon for Vordt?

There are 2 phantom NPCs that can be summoned for this boss fight - the Sword Master (if he has been defeated outside Firelink Shrine) and Lion Knight Albert (if Emma is alive). This boss is not optional and he must be defeated in order to be able to progress to the Undead Settlement.

Do you need to be Embered to summon NPC ds3?

You don't need to be embered.

Is there an NPC summon for Aldrich?
