Minecraft Survival Mode

Minecraft Survival Mode - Green Leafed Plant on Sand

I am playing Minecraft on survival mode. I can break blocks like sand, dirt, and gravel and it will give me a block. When I try to break stone or iron or anything else, it didn't give me a block. What can I do so that I can get a block? I am on single player and my internet is fine. I tried deleting the app and then getting the app again but that didn't work. This is happening with all my worlds in survival mode.

Following is the tool requirements for mining blocks,

Wooden Pickaxe - Stone & Coal

Stone Pickaxe - Iron and above

Iron Pickaxe - Gold, Redstone, Diamond & above

Diamond Pickaxe - Obsidian & Above.

to get items like glass and Ice you need to enchant these with Silk touch(quite Rare)

Also you can get items like coal, redstone and diamond in more quantities per ore using a Fortune Pick (preferably Fortune 3)

How do you play Minecraft in Survival mode?

In Survival mode, you get to build with whatever you can mine! You can use dirt, sand, diamonds\u2013anything! In Creative mode, building is a little different because you get given all the blocks!

What is the difference between creative mode and Survival mode?

It is just a fun game element. Minecraft is rated E for Everyone 10+, but Survival Mode is safe for most kids ages 7 or 8 and above. Creative mode would be appropriate for any age. It also takes some practice and research to survive the first night.

Is Minecraft Survival better than creative?

In survival mode, players can break pretty much any block other than bedrock, even without a tool, should they be okay with no items being dropped and breaking the block taking much longer than it otherwise would. However, in adventure mode, players are completely unable to break blocks with their fists.
