Why cant i see my hotbar and or any buttons even though i have hide hud off?

I play on mobile android and a few days ago I was playing and my controls, hotbar and even the other players went invisible. I already tried turning off my hide HUD and that didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Open Minecraft.

Go to "Settings"

Go to "Video"

Make sure "Hide Hud" Is turned OFF.

I got my HUD back by restarting my game. If you need help with restarting Minecraft then I can tell you how later on. I restarted (I think) because I went into the xbox main menu and quit minecraft then loaded it back up again, went into the server and it still had no visible HUd.
