I'm setting my SPECIAL stats and I don't know how irreparable this damage will be... How will I be able to modify my SPECIAL stats after leaving the vault, if at all?

Theoretically, could I get each stat to 10 over the course of the game?

Your SPECIAL stats can be permanently raised by finding certain bobbleheads throughout the world.

There are two ways to permanently increase your SPECIAL stats in Fallout 4:

  1. Finding certain bobbleheads throughout the world
  2. Spending a perk point to raise a stat, in lieu of gaining a perk

You can temporarily raise your SPECIAL stats through chems, armor, and food.

Can special stats go above 10?

There are a plethora of benefit's to having a higher then 10 in any special stat. You can raise a special to 10, and with a bobblehead you can hit a maximum of permanent 11 in any special stat.

Can you max out special stats Fallout 4?

You can max out your character with 10 in each SPECIAL trait provided every time you level up you simply choose the appropriate training to increase your stats (as opposed to choosing perks). Remember, there's no level cap, so you can keep on levelling and start getting other perks later.

How do you increase your special points?

If you want to permanently increase over 10, you will have to use S.P.E.C.I.A.L book first because it won't show up if you have it at ten already then use a bobblehead, it increases as soon as you pick it up.
