Faction Membership Limits in Fallout 4

Are there any limitations to the faction memberships you can have in Fallout 4?

I'm brand-new to the Fallout universe, and just got to the point of being invited to the Brotherhood of Steel. However, I'm a bit concerned about their politics and how it may affect my standing with other factions I may encounter.

If I join the Brotherhood, will there be other factions that I can't join? Are there any other factions that have such limitations?

Note: I'm still not very far into the game, and not very familiar with the Fallout 4 universe in general, so please make liberal use of spoiler markdown in your answers. Essentially, the only things that need to be un-spoilered are Yes/No answers for the questions asked above.

No.

Are there any other factions that have such limitations?

No, but they're not friendly with each other and you will be forced to choose in order to finish the game (contains spoilers).

Can you join all 3 factions Fallout 4?

Spoiler: You can join and work with every single group, but at one point it becomes one group OR The Institute. The Mass Fusion quest makes you either Railroad/Institute/Minutemen or Minutemen/Brotherhood. Whichever one you choose, those are the only options you'll have for the endgame.

Can I join more than 1 faction Fallout 4?

Yes indeed. In fact, you are tacitly encouraged to join all four of them. The thing is, as you progress down the various faction plot lines, eventually each and every one of the four factions is going to force to betray another one, possibly two of the others.

How many groups can you join in Fallout 4?

In Fallout 4, players are given the opportunity to join four different factions: The Minutemen, The Brotherhood of Steel, The Railroad, and The Institute.

Can you keep all factions in Fallout 4?

You can keep all three factions alive and available to do radiant quests while only destroying the Institute. You need to complete Tradecraft before teleporting to the Institute, otherwise the Railroad won't let you join.
