How do I exit the T-45 power armor again?

How do I exit the T-45 power armor again? - Focused soldier with rifle marching in park

I just killed a bunch of Raiders using the power armor and a minigun, but now I can't figure out how to leave the armor again. As it drains power and is rather unwieldly I don't want to continue using it right now.

The Settings menu is no help, I can't find any key assigned to leaving the armor again. So, how exactly do I exit the power armor?

  • How do I get out of my power armor in Fallout 76?

When you're ready to step out of the exosuit and travel light for a bit \u2014 especially if you're running low on fusion cores or don't plan on doing much fighting \u2014 hold down the action button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, etc.) for a moment. This should make you exit the power armor.

How do you force Raiders out of power armor?

What you can do is pick pocket the fusion core from the NPC, which will force them to get out of the power armor. It is also possible to damage the fusion core while the NPC is wearing the armor, which will force them to vacate the suit as well.
