How do I set up a supply line?

I just got the Local Leader perk, it says I can establish supply lines between workshop settlements. How do I do this?

You must have levelled charisma to at least level 6, this can be done by going to perks
Scroll down to level 6, and put one level into local leader. Local leader perk allows you to establish supply lines between your workshops.
Go to any settler from a different settlement while in workshop mode and you will now see a button (Supply Line) available
Pressing the button will prompt a box asking you to select which settlement you want to have the settler travel to.
To check which settlements are linked to each other you can open up your map and press (Show Supply Lines)

How does a supply line work?

A supply line is something that connects settlements and allows them to share workshop inventory space. This means you could deposit something in the Sanctuary Hills workshop and retrieve it at the Hangman's Alley workshop without having to schlep it all the way there yourself.

yes both ways. but always a settler needs to be sent for each base. [vanilla]. Just to add one more thing to the mix, yes, a supply line is two way BUT the provisioner counts towards the population of the settlement of ORIGIN only.

How do I assign settlers to supply lines?

Local Leader requires CHA Level 6 to unlock. While in workshop mode on your settlement, you'll notice a new command at the bottom of the menu \u2014 Supply Line. Move your cursor over a Settler and press the button prompt to assign them to a supply line. A menu will appear asking where you would like to send the settler.

Do supply lines share JUNK?

Supply lines work for all the junk in your workshop's inventory. It's not important whether it's scrapped or not. If you want to check it, drop non-scrapped item with some rare material to workshop and view the amount of availible raw materials in building menu.
