How does workshop sharing work? [duplicate]

From the descriptions I've seen online, once I have set up a supply line between two settlemens they should share resources. However, when I look at their respective inventories they seem separate.

How does resource sharing work, exactly? What happens when I set up a supply line?

Are workshops shared Fallout 4?

Nope, the only things shared are the various crafting supplies. Anything that is in the Junk category can be used as crafting materials at any Settlement linked and/or chained to it.

Do workbenches share inventory?

Workbench inventories still are not shared. Each inventory shows different items.

Can I transfer items between workshops Fallout 4?

Open the Workshop menu and walk up to the settler you want to move. Move command should show up in the bottom command menu. Once you press it you will get a list of available settlements and the settler will go there. Just make sure you have enough resources at the target settlement to support new population.

How do claimed workshops work Fallout 76?

Fallout 76 Workshops are essentially fixed CAMPs you can build out in the world at one of many locations. Claiming a Workshop allows you to receive specific resources for as long as you control it, until it's taken over by enemy waves and other players (or you go offline).
