What happens if I really don't like one of my settlements and refuse to defend it? [duplicate]
I'm really not a fan of Tenpines Bluff. Those two citizens need to suck it up and learn to deal with raiders themselves if they won't move to one of my more well defended settlements. Their settlement has no defenses and I refuse to build any, so what happens if they get attacked by raiders and I just stand by and laugh instead of rushing to their aid?

You could send both of the settlers to another settlement (assuming the rest aren't maxed in population) and then dismantle/turn-off the radio. Then no new settlers will arrive, and the raiders can do what they like w/out any negative consequences for you what-so-ever.

If a settlement fails to defend itself, then you'll lose a % of the items in the workbench. The amount lost depends on how tough the attackers were. If you've been building up tons of turrets and posts and have no idea why your settlers still aren't satisfied, here's why: your defense needs to be equal to the sum of your food and water. How do you protect your settlements in Fallout 4?
Don't build a settlement that fills an area larger than it needs to be, and build a wall around it with a few set entrances and turrets with good vantage points. The taller of the two guard posts are sufficiently tall to see over walls but you'll need to remember to assign settlers to actually use the guard posts.Demi Lovato - Really Don't Care ft.
