What happens if you use the 'you are special' book when all of your stats are at 10?
What happens if you use the 'you are special' book when all of your stats are at 10 or higher? I saw a question asking about the highest level you could get your stats to, but this specific condition was never addressed. Does it do nothing? Raise your skills higher than 10 or 11? I've already messed this up, and seeing as I have the ps4 version it would probably be faster for someone else to test this on the pc rather than starting my character over without touching the book.

The "You are Special" book will not raise your attributes beyond 10.
However, any of the SPECIAL increasing Bobbleheads will, if used on a stat that is already at 10.

You can raise a special to 10, and with a bobblehead you can hit a maximum of permanent 11 in any special stat. Then with gear you can push it even further, with some unquie facial attire you can attain +1 & +2 to either perception or intellect.Can special stats exceed 10 New Vegas?
If you want to permanently increase over 10, you will have to use S.P.E.C.I.A.L book first because it won't show up if you have it at ten already then use a bobblehead, it increases as soon as you pick it up.Can you max all special stats in Fallout 4?
You can max out your character with 10 in each SPECIAL trait provided every time you level up you simply choose the appropriate training to increase your stats (as opposed to choosing perks).
